2002 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
The very warm 2002 growing season coupled with the maturity of our Terra Blanca Estate Vineyard has produced some of the most intense and concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon to date from our Red Mountain estate.
Fermentation in small open fermenters, and punched with extended maceration, extracted the intense flavors of the Red Mountain terrior. Aging in French oak barrels for up to 30 months has polished the flavors created in the vineyard.
Aromas of violet black cherry lift out of the glass leading to an intense concentration of blackberry and cassis in the tightly wound core of dark chocolate and anise on the palate. The long expressive finish is balanced and elegant showing the depth and structure of our Red Mountain Estate Vineyard. Enjoy with red meats and hearty pastas.

Growing Conditions - The 2002 growing season started early with a warm spring and bud break a couple weeks ahead of normal.
