Applied Research

Software Development:

CDS designs, develops, implements, and supports custom web-based applications from concept phase to a fully supported hosted solution.

We use industry standard technology: Microsoft.NET, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, and Linux, which allows solutions to be accessed through any modern web browser.

Finishing the Puzzle
  • We develop, integrate, and implement custom software with CDS products:
    • Collaboration Portal supports internal and external interfaces with our collaborative Portal application, which is permissions based, group enabled, version controlled, and scalable.
    • Dashboards and Analytics (For Business Intelligence Reporting), provides web-based analytics that allow clients to examine data, customize dashboards, and support collaborative project analysis. These tools support analytics through data warehouses or smaller data-mart applications built on an industry leading Oracle grid.
    • Content Management empowers customers with the ability to change, manage, oversee, and extend their web presence and content.
 

 

Program Management:

  • Project Initiation and Planning services where CDS subject matter experts join with the customer’s team to fully define their project, scope the deliverables, set success criteria, and establish the business case.
  • Program and Portfolio Management provides on-site and off-site capabilities used to deliver an organized and profitable portfolio of programs that define strategic projects that must work together in a Program Architecture. This architecture establishes financial and reporting activities necessary to profitably manage your entire project portfolio.
  • Project Execution where experienced Project Managers are on-site to provide direct coaching, management and assistance to the Project Team Members and extend visibility of the project to the Executive sponsor(s).
  • Project Management Office (PMO) is established at the Executive level and provides Senior Leaders with integrated reporting for all programs and/or projects and includes: a toll gating system, common reporting, project management methods, executive and project manager coaching, and the full transition from CDS to internal customer Management.

CDS brings advanced analytical techniques to the world of education through the Scholastic Metrics Analysis and Reporting Tool (SMART). An advanced assessment analysis tool that incorporates assessment creation, distribution, data collection, and reporting, SMART replaces manual data collection efforts that prove tedious, time-consuming, error prone, and expensive.

  • For Immediate Release: White River School District contracts with CDS for multi-year SMART software subscription
  • SMART warmly received at 2008 AWSP/WASA Educator's Conference. Look for CDS & SMART at the annual AWSP Conference, October 26th-28th, 2008 in Spokane, WA.
